1. What is the Wear Layer Thickness?

The wear layer (top clear layer) determines scratch and abrasion resistance. Residential: 0.3-0.5mm. Light commercial: 0.5-0.7mm. Heavy commercial: 0.7mm+. Many suppliers quote only the total thickness (e.g., 5mm) without specifying the wear layer — ask explicitly.

2. What Core Density & Caliber Thickness?

SPC core density should be 1.9-2.2 g/cm³. Higher density means better impact resistance and less expansion. Thicker core (5mm vs 4mm) provides better stability and a more solid feel underfoot.

3. Is the Product Third-Party Tested?

Ask for test reports covering: formaldehyde emission (CARB/CE), slip resistance (DIN 51130), wear resistance (EN 13329/ISO 24338), and dimensional stability (EN 434). A reputable supplier provides these without hesitation.

4. What is the MOQ & Lead Time?

Typical MOQ for SPC flooring from Chinese manufacturers is 500-1000 sqm per SKU. Lead time: 15-25 days for standard colors, 30-45 days for custom colors. Can the supplier offer mixed containers with other product lines?

5. Do They Offer OEM/Private Label?

Many importers prefer private labeling. Ask about: minimum order for custom packaging, artwork turnaround time, and whether they can match your brand’s quality specifications consistently.
